President Trump revealed on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the presidential home.

He mentioned that he conversed with her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a violent incident on Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her colleague, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” the president informed the press. “And in the same way with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Mourners gathered over the weekend at Webster County high school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.

Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to support policing efforts in DC.

“Sarah was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the principal of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the press. “She was kind, caring and always eager to assist people.”

Authorities have charged a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with a charge of murder and charges of violent assault while armed.

Andrew Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, started his military career in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, per the news agency.

Memory of Sarah Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County high school in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a MP with honor, as stated by the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” he told the audience at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
