Netflix Casts Ideal Performer for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. The role can use their power to morph into an perfect replica of any person they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the initial comic and animated series.
This performer joins multiple fresh additions tasked with bringing the organization to reality, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Although Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate further changes to the story’s structure.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
